BACKGROUND: A student at BCR until he was lured into the forest in his third year by a hydra, which killed him and warped his soul, tethering him to serve the monster by spying on the school grounds and eating boys who trespassed into the forest, or herding them to the hydra itself. Freed by Grant Cooper killing the monster, Frankie's memories returned to him and he insisted that Grant tether Frankie to himself, as the alternatives would've probably ended in Frankie's going full monster and killing/eating people and then getting hunted down and killed. Tried to live all domestic with Grant for a while, but that was kind of a shitshow, so they went on the road. Once that got to be too much for both of them, Grant settled and Frankie kept wandering, using Grant's place as a home base.

-mostly come to terms with being a monster, still has existential crises sometimes
-always hungry, tries to eat just animals and other monsters but it's really only humans that satisfy him
-quiet, mostly
-keeps his emotions to himself
-but when he gets angry he gets REALLY FUCKING ANGRY and tends to wreck shit (only really happens when Bad Shit is going down and/or Grant is threatened)
-sarcastic and biting in his humor
-morals are a little wonky these days but still mostly has a grasp on right v wrong
-mostly keeps to himself, safer for other people that way
-basically he's a chaotic good loner, with neutral leanings
-has a pretty good handle on his monster tendencies (ie eating people), but when he gets REALLY hungry or REALLY MAD it gets much harder to control himself and he slips up sometimes
-he's learned to forgive himself
-not (as) codependent with Grant anymore

POWERS & SKILLS:

TIER 1:

shape shifting
-three forms: human form, shadow form, and wolf form
-in human form he can't do a whole lot, most of his energy is going to keeping up a solid form
-in shadow form he can travel in the shadows, either as a shadow, or leaping from shadow to shadow. for all intents and purposes, he's invisible and nearly impossible to detect unless he directly interacts with someone, and he's only able to do so minimally: soft touches and whispers.
-in wolf form he can shadow travel, but he's not as undetectable. he can interact with people, but he's also semi-intangible. he can change size, from a medium-sized fluffy doggo type to a VERY LARGE VERY SCARY LOOKING WOLF MONSTER about the size of a draft horse.

he can see, talk to, and interact physically with ghosts.

shadow healing
because in his shadow form he's basically intangible, if he gets hurt in either of his other forms, he can shift to shadow form to rapidly heal.

TIER 2:

shadow control
frankie has some control over shadows, and can twist them to appear how he wishes, and sometimes even make facsimiles that look realistic. however, upon close inspection they'll dissipate. mostly he uses this ability to scare his acquaintances or describe something he's seen.

TIER 3:

possession
since he is, technically, a kind of spirit himself, frankie can possess those of the spectral class with a line that allows for being possessed. he's only done this once, to encourage tris's spectral abilities to blossom. he's never ever ever doing it again.

INVENTORY: nothing. frankie travels naked. his only weapon is himself.
